Here in the UK we are experiencing a flood of knife attacks.I try to believe there is more goodness out there than bad but it's bad news that sells.Maybe someone should start a site with only good news and we can all chip in with good news posts.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1451599462253955489.post-43512343174210764072008-08-01T10:06:00.000-04:002008-08-01T10:06:00.000-04:00I agree, the entire world is going crazy, which is...I agree, the entire world is going crazy, which is why I returned to my teeny tiny hometown to live. We manage to avoid most of the bad news. Eventually all that stress and violence will make its way here, but hopefully after I'm dead and gone.

Oh, and for the very reasons you cited, I no longer watch the news. News is not only good, but the 24-hour "news" channels have way too much time to fill in and so they really stretch the definition of what is news, what is gossip, what is so-called entertainment, and what is just plain ridiculous.Chesapeake Bay Womanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07187804072769932131noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1451599462253955489.post-68921826773015330792008-08-01T09:52:00.000-04:002008-08-01T09:52:00.000-04:00Ooops...did I forget to say FAITH....in my message...Ooops...did I forget to say FAITH....in my message above....that's pretty important isn't it? More and more people I know are telling me they won't read or listen to the news any more. They can't deal with it.
I do partially blame the media because they sensationalize every story instead of just reporting.
I don't think you and I can do a whole lot except try to keep our own little portions of the world peaceful and teach by example.
