I think firefighters are true heroes as well as nurses, teachers, and others who build their lives around helping others. It's important recognize them and be grateful for all they do.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1451599462253955489.post-60402676381395824962008-08-12T10:10:00.000-04:002008-08-12T10:10:00.000-04:00I agree. And it not only applies to firefighters,...I agree. And it not only applies to firefighters, I believe it is our nature, unfortunately, to take most things and people for granted until they are gone.

Although I am not always successful, I do try to always end a conversation with my family members with an, "I love you" or something similar so that if anything were to happen (to them or to me), at least the last words will have been positive ones.

We have many self-less volunteer firefighters and EMT's where I live. I find it even more incredible that these people not only put their lives on the line but do so without pay or recognition and on their own time, usually on call 24 hours a day. They truly are incredible, thanks for the reminder.Chesapeake Bay Womanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07187804072769932131noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1451599462253955489.post-12040186580341287112008-08-12T01:35:00.000-04:002008-08-12T01:35:00.000-04:00Amen!!!!Amen!!!!Kay Dennisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02646717192332313215noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1451599462253955489.post-67120422772633228412008-08-11T20:03:00.000-04:002008-08-11T20:03:00.000-04:00Amen and point well taken.Thank you is just 2 word...Amen and point well taken.
Thank you is just 2 words...I don't know why we don't use it more.photowannabehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11760961275666768173noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1451599462253955489.post-5698245991742992162008-08-11T19:53:00.000-04:002008-08-11T19:53:00.000-04:00Awww - that is so nice. He has longed to get into the Fire Service for years; it's very popular here. He's loved the training and we're all very happy for him. So much so that we haven't really thought about the danger! We're atending his passing-out, so your bear is very timely for us at the moment.Rinkly Rimeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07890344869337115307noreply@blogger.com
