Wow, I am a proud daughter of a nurrse who served her patients dutifully by day and by night for 20 years, and then took voluntary retirement to take care of her family.
I love your choice for 'N'

I am a proud niece & friend to two nurses. They are like angels. I'll never forget what a group of them did for me after my son was born.

I'm a proud parent of a registered nurse in Oregon. My son is an Oncology nurse and I am so proud of him too.
Nice choice for the letter N.

Dear Bear ~~ Most Nurses are really wonderful and do a marvellous job. You must be a very proud parent of a R.N.
Thanks for your comments and I am so glad you enjoyed the story of Kevin.
It was a nice story and a pleasure to pass it on to my friends. Take care,
Love, Merle.

i just love cuddly Nurse Nancy! nice choice for the N. Nurses really do make a difference in this world. what will we do without them? my N is now up too!

Nurses are the mainstay of any health system and at least as important as doctors. I am biased having worked with both and married a nurse. I have known many indifferent doctors but offhand can't think likewise of nurses.

You're unbelievable! All these teddy bears! Great post!

A teddy as a nurse would have been just wonderful!!

At first the illustration wouldn't 'come up'! I was glad when your nurse-bear popped into view. What sex is he/she? I see male clothes but a little ribbon!

I, too, will be the parent of an RN, come the spring of 2010!

Well, if you raised a daughter who became a nurse, then I'd say you definitely did something right during her upbringing...

What would we do without them?

I love your oddities too. I'm with you on the parallel parking and the tucked-in sheets. I'm also not keen on turning left (or rather it's right here).

Your blog is so fascinating, always full of informative stuff, yet always introduced by a very sweet little theme bear. You do such a wonderful job. I enjoyed your nurse!

I do so love your bears. Do you dress them yourself? Where do you find them? Do you get Bears for Christmas.

A good nurse is worth ten bad interns.

My nephew is a nurse and I admire anyone who chooses that profession because it sure isn't for me. Glad people like your daughter ARE those kind of wonderful people.

Thanks for the linky the other day. You are a sweetheart :)

Very nice write-up for 'N'! My sister is a RN in Delaware (USA) and she recently became a trauma registrar.
I'm proud of her, too!

Nurses are the hardest working and most under-appreciated members of the medical profession. Hats off to all of them

My Mum was a nurse, and I have a lovely photo of her which I thought about using for 'N', but I felt I should ask her first and it was way past her bedtime.

I think you can be very proud of your daughter!

Nurses are the backbone to our healtcare providers. The nurse is so cute. I love boyds bears.

That nurse looks like she has a friendly bedside manner. She'd make any visit to the doctor easier. Nice "N" interpretation.

Rose said...

Great idea for "N". You should be very proud of your daughter; nurses play such an important role in our health care system and are ofen underappreciated, not to mention underpaid!
Thanks for the suggestion on "No good ideas":)

DD said...

WOW! Excellent N post!! Thanks for the blog comments!

Baino said...

My goodness look at your comments! My mother was a nurse. Actually Bear, I was almost going to post about the remarkable work they do after watching one of those "Medical Emergency" shows last night. They are underpaid and overworked but valued by their patients. It's more a vocation than a job I think.

A Noble Nurse.

I thought of you when we were at the museum with all the Teddy Bears. There is a large collection of them. I'll post some more photos I took of the other bears tomorrow. I only got one of the giant one's in today. :)

And of course, the big one didn't attack me. He was quite friendly and just as cuddly as, well, a teddy bear. :)

The nurses were demonstrating in the streets of Rome last Thursday! The pay is horrendous and they are nevertheless doing a tremendous job.
