Remember this every time you find a little penny in the parking lot.
I always thought that it was for good luck, but I love this version better.
*
*I found a penny today
Lying on the ground
But it's not just a penny
This little coin I've found
*
Found pennies come from heaven
That's what my Grandpa told me
Oh how I loved that story
He said Angels toss them down
*
He said when an Angel misses you
They toss a penny down.
Sometimes just to cheer you up
To make a smile out of your frown
*
So don't pass by that penny
When you're feeling blue
It may be a penny from heaven
That an Angel's tossed to you
Bear((( )))

How sweet!!!!!
A very sweet thought.
I am going t use that thought with my grandchildren.
I love this. I always pick up that penny no matter how seemingly insignificant it may be. There's something about leaving money on the ground that doesn't sit well with me....and now I know why. I'm not one to argue with an angel.
I love this too. I don't find many pennies lately; seems people pick them up these days instead of leaving them where they fall.
I LOVE this poem! I can't wait to share this with my son, who also not only collects bears, but many stuffed animals btw.
So you had a yorkie for 19&1/2 years? We've just had ours for three & she acts like she is a person. I can see why you miss yours.
; )
I love that idea Bear
I'll look at a penny in a whole new way!
What a lovely little poem. Thanks so much for sharing it. I'm going to be posting a picture for you on my blog before I go to work, in about half an hour. I think we must both be teddy lovers.
Pennies from heaven, I love it.
Why is there a dust bin next to my comment?
What a nice take on the subject.
What a pretty poem! I LOVE this : ). Totally cheered me up today!
What a lovely thought....This is a keeper! Have a wonderful day!
Superstition says only pick up coins that are FACE up .. otherwise its bad luck.
I am just sayin'
the value of the copper in each penny coin is worth more than a penny---so recycle them for the copper and make a nice lil profit. Had a angle toss me one just last week, was face up on the ground which makes it a "Lucky" penny, according to the "lil people" (lol)
On the streets where I live it is quite common to find pennies as people can't be bothered to take the one pence change from the usual 99p purchase. They chuck them down. I was brought up with the saying pennies make pounds. We usually save up and give to charity!
As regards Angels chucking pennies down from Heaven....... well its best not to look up then as one could take an eye out! LOL
This is delightful and I will use this thought too with my grandkids.
I'm going to steal this story too. Thanks for sharing it with us. :)
