Christmas Gift

I might be a little late in getting around to everyone's blog because I am busy reading John Grisham's novel "The Appeal," one of my Christmas gifts.

From the Publisher:

Politics has always been a dirty game. Now justice is, too.
In a crowded courtroom in Mississippi, a jury returns a shocking verdict against a chemical company accused of dumping toxic waste into a small town’s water supply, causing the worst “cancer cluster” in history. The company appeals to the Mississippi Supreme Court, whose nine justices will one day either approve the verdict or reverse it."

Again, another gripping novel written by John Grisham (his 19th.)
Grisham is one of my favourite authors.

What an adorable bear picture.

Grisham is a great writer, but I gave up reading right before I gave up TV which was around the time I became addicted to internet. (Thanks for the e-card!)

I read Grisham, too!!! "The Appeal" is on my list but after my trip to Border's today and hitting the sale, it will have to wait. So many books . . . so little time.

I just finished one of my Christmas gifts, Revolutionary Road, last night. A good read and now I can feel OK about seeing the movie sometime.

Happy new Year to you and yours!
There's nothing like a good book to stop you doing anything else - but it's worth it!

I like Grisham, too, especially since he learned how to end a book. The first few, it seemed he just stopped writing, the end. The Appeal is on my library list.
