Well this must mean that I am not average because I have read many more than six on this list.
Don't you think it is surprising that there is nothing by Ernest Hemingway listed? Such as the following that I have read:
A Farewell to Arms
The Old Man and the Sea
For Whom the Bell Tolls
The Sun Also Rises

Thanks for this list. I'd still like to know which ones are worth reading and which aren't. I'm lazy like that. :)

Oh god, what kind of a sad person I am? I've read more than 2/3 of that list. : - (

This list of 100 is composed by one publishing company of titles THEY publish---which explains why so many great titles are missing. Yes I have read all those by Hemingway also.
carin fuchs:----why do you call yourself a sad person---I applaud you on being well read. Your the kind of person my parents would have wanted me to hang with when growing up---(thats meant as a compliment)
