Menopause Moment

On her blog , femail doc from Menopause Moments confesses to menopause moments.
*
*
*
I figure if she is brave enough to BEAR it all to the blogosphere, then I should also.
*
*
*
One morning as I was brushing my teeth, I looked up in the bathroom mirror.
*
What I saw was that I was using Ted E’s toothbrush.
*
His is blue and mine is green, no reason whatsoever for the confusion.
*
I blamed it on my early morning rising and convinced myself that was the cause.
*
I went out shopping that afternoon and bought new green and blue toothbrushes for the two of us.
*
Three days later I did the same thing all over again.
*
I now have a large stock of green and blue toothbrushes (just in case.)
*
*
And this is our little secret because I never told Ted E.

But you were most scrupulous (or is it scrupleful?) to right your wrong. I've done that--don't ask, don't tell, and didn't get new brushes. What, it occurs to me, if my hubby has done it as well?

Can I post this on my blog?

p.s. I wondered why I was getting such traffic from your blog. Thanks!

Oh heavens. I feel your pain.

Yes, I have to say you were very kind to replace the toothbrushes, I can't say I would have been so diligent, namely because by the time I got to the store I would have forgotten what I was there to buy.

Menopause Moments happen approximately every ten minutes around here!

Oh, this makes me happy! I don't remember ever having menopause moments - but I sure do have senior ones. I'm glad I'm not alone in this.

Loved reading about your brush with mental-pause. And, as far as Ted E goes, sometimes things are better left unsaid!

Don't even get me started on the hot flashes! ;)

Lately I find myself milling about wondering why I came to the kitchen or what was it I wanted from the downstairs freezer.

Oh, what a relief! I thought my mental lapses were down to the onset of Alzheimer's or something but if lots of you are the same I don't feel so bad.
