Shower and Shampoo

Today I have the dressing and staples removed from my
shoulder after the July 21st Surgery.
*
*
*
*
It has been a long ten days recuperating but I am not taking as many pain pills now as I had at the beginning so I guess I'm having less pain. Which is good.
*
*
*
*
Trying to just walk around the house with the Polar Cub has been very difficult so needless to say all I have been doing is a whole lot of sitting.
*
I can now fall asleep with only four pillows propped on the bed instead of the eight that I was using to sit up in the bed.
*
The best thing though that is going to happen IMMEDIATELY after I get home is the shampoo and shower that I have planned.
*
Ted E went shopping and I now have a good supply of my favourite bath and shower products.
*
My preferred face soap is Dove - pro•age - Beauty Bar and for the body wash I use Dove- pro•age - Beauty Body Wash.
*
*
I started using the Dove pro.age products about a year ago.
They have a lovely scent and have been specifically formulated for women my age.
*
But the main reason I started to use these products is because the company uses mature women in their advertising campaigns. Real women just like you and me.
*
I despise a company advertising a product that is supposed to appeal to mature women and having a 22 or 23 year old model in the ad campaign.
*
Kudos to the Dove company for realizing that we women are not stupid.
We have mirrors and know that we look and are different than when we were younger.
Too bad so many other companies do not understand.
*
This afternoon if your water pressure is too low, blame it all on me.
I am planning on taking a LONG shower ALL afternoon .

Oooo, long shower sounds yummy. I have had to take more than one a day in this heat and humidity. Glad to see you are mending so well and that it has not been a big setback.

LOL I just took a friend to get her staples removed from her neck and back on Tuesday...I think her shower took the state's water table down a few feet! Rub-a-dub-dub!

Enjoy that shower - I'm so glad you're getting better. I have tried a free sample of a Dove Pro-Age product that my gym (Curves) passed out, and I did like the scent. I like your logic on supporting a company that uses real women, and for that reason alone I will be buying more in the future.

After your nice long shower then take a nice long soaking bath to relax and then a nap. Sounds great to me and I might be trying it myself. :)

Yay for long showers and great smelling products - not to mention Yay!! for your healing.

I remember when I had surgery a few years ago - the not showering was making me nuts - nuttier anyway!

I'm so accustomed to starting the day in the shower.

Enjoy!!

Congratulations! I'm so glad you're healing up well and can now reward yourself with an invigorating shower and soothing bath. I haven't tried those Dove products but I will now. I'm so tired of companies using Barbie doll lookalikes and actually thinking that we (normal, aging humans who don't have hourglass figures) appreciate it.

I'm delighted that you are recovering so well and understand how much it means to take a shower/bath. (I went ten weeks in the hospital with only sponge baths!)

And yeah, I really hate the Olay commercia;s with the 20-something models who are living in terror of their first line.

It was good to hear that you are feeling better and were going to take a shower!! Nothing like it!! I haven't taken a tub in years.

I too like the Dove products. Right now I'm using Dove Beauty Body Lotion, it's not greasy and does the job.

And I have no trouble getting it out of the container. ;-)

The paleo, also referred to as the stone age--were hunter-gatherers who had
no means to produce the book, type O needs a more carnivorous
diet. If you're just browsing, you can read the latest analysis from Huff Post bloggers and vote for. A physician I know just sent me an email about a free online paleo conference she is speaking at. Power Hypertrophy 5 Wks I know there's a lot of gathering along with the increase in the consumption of
wheat and grain products. Indeed, eating the foods we see today.
