Steiff , a German company, has created the world's most expensive Teddy Bear.
*
*The $85,000 Bear has a mouth made of solid gold, fur made from gold thread and eyes with pupils of sapphire and irises made from 20 tiny diamonds.
*
In celebration of its 125th anniversary, Steiff only produced 125 of the Golden Jubilee Bears. You can identify a Steiff bear by the button on its ear.

Best I can promise is a virtual edition and a bundle of hugs. Will that do?
hmmmm......love from afar, perhaps?
Uh, I love ya' Bear, but sorry! Best I could do is an $8.50 Beanie Baby Bear....LOL
I think I will buy one for me.... HaHaHa.
Do they have any at the thrift store?
That bear HAS to be naked! Who would cover up that expensive fur?
That's too expansive for me.
May be I'll send you some pics of my own teddy bear, more than sixty years old, and my brother's one which is more like a dog or a monkey than a bear.
Dream on, Bear Naked, dream on! LOL!
My goodness - why would you want one? You can't hug him so well, surely? And being hugged is a bear's raison d'etre!
I can only echo Jay's comment! Who is going to love a bear like that?
At least they sell the bear accompanied by an elephant and thus appreciate the fact that Margarete Steiff started with making elephants as needle-cushins which become very soon a much loved child toy.
Well it's definitely a collector's bear, wouldn't want you're toddler sucking that nose off! (that's what seems to happen to most cuddly bears!) Sorry Mrs Bear, I'd buy it for you in a heartbeat . .erm no actually . .too much for a teddy with spooky eyes!
If I could afford it, I'd give you two. One for that French-speaking husband of yours and one for you.
No, I don't think so. I need a bear I can play with.
Just went to your very first post. I hadn't realized you started blogging even more recently than I did. And on my son's birthday, too. You have certainly developed a wonderful space here in such a short time. Your 34 followers can attest to that!
If I win the lottery, it's yours!
amazing for sure
The body longevity indicator is your legs- How firm a foundation . If you have good strong legs you're in for a long life. My grandmother could outwalk anyone at 103.I heard this fact yesterday ..
Yikes....not this year Bear. I Love Bears...but this kind of stuff is lost on me I guess.
It never hurts to ask!
Over from Mental P's. We have Devil's Night, too. Keep the garden hose handy :)
While he may be a bear that will increase in value as a collectable, that is the only reason I would want him. I don't like his eyes, precious gems not whithstanding.
What a cutie! I can see him in the Neiman's Christmas catalogue!
You think I can get it cheaper on ebay? LOL
Pure pocket change...LOL...of course I'll get it for you. You need it for your collection.
And who dared to say the economy was suffering? It's never too much for a teddy! He's beautiful.
Something that expensive would need a special case to be in so nothing happens to him ... after buying the bear I wouldnt have enough left to buy a case!
In your dreams! LOL! Who'd want to play with a gold and diamond teddy anyway??
Hugs
A Bling Bear!!
Thanks for the idea - and here I was thinking of a diamond ring for you!
