Recipe courtesy of JeanMac from Welcome to our World

DANGEROUS CHOCOLATE *CAKE-IN-A-MUG*

1 coffee mug
4 Tbsp. flour (plain, not self-rising)
4 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1 egg
3 Tbsp. milk
3 Tbsp. oil
Small splash of vanilla
3 Tbsp. chocolate chips, optional

Add dry ingredients to mug, mix well with a fork.
Add egg, mix thoroughly.
Pour in milk and oil and vanilla, mix well.
Add chips, if using.
Put mug in microwave, and cook for three minutes on 1000 watts.
Cake will rise over top of mug--do not be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little; tip onto a plate if desired.

This is a real treat and so easy to make.
It can be shared with another person but Monsieur Bear now knows if he wants some, he has to make his own.

Dear Bear, what I want to tell you before I forget is that there is a marvellous picture in most of our newspapers today of two Bears in space...I had to laugh and thought immediately of you. They are wearing space suits and are actually tethered to a weather balloon. Hilarious, but I don't know how to get it to you. Maybe if you go to Daily Express.com.

I will certainly try the chocalate cake, sounds mouthwateringly yummy.

OK. The words "dangerous" and "do not be alarmed" are in a recipe? And it's supposed to be easy? Would that be "easy to blow oneself up?"

This is a crystal clear sign that I must run, not walk, away from what I am sure is a delightful cupcake. Cup in a cake. Cake in a cup.

Maybe I can give the recipe to my 13-year-old, and he could make it for me.

I'm going to have to try that. But excuse me, Bear, that looks like pencils instead of cake in that mug?

yum ... I made that one the other day, after my husband got the recipe in an e-mail or somewhere, at his work, and sent it straight home - lol ... odd thing is - I am sure the one I have says that you DO use SR flour ...
oh well ... tasted good anyway ... especially with oodles of cream - LOL
btw - this is a BEARY good blog!

I found it here - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/scienceandtechnology/3548363/Teddy-bears-in-space-first-pictures.html ... and in a few other places too ... I am glad I went and looked for it - what a good idea!
