Martha and I used to own an antique collectible's store and we sold a lot of these little fellows. A lot of folks came in looking for vintage bears.

Thanks for this interesting information.

Very thorough and well done.

Thanks for the visit,
Troy and Martha

A Bear history lesson! ;)
Though I find those Care Bears a tad too sweet for my taste! (No offense)

They were so popular in Brazil on the 80s! But still loved by many little kids up to now! Lovely C post!

Kisses from Nydia.

Perfect choice for your "C"! My daughters, now in their twenties, both had Care Bears--I think the pink and blue. Now they're coming back again, and my granddaughter has one. Wish I'd kept the originals!
Thanks for visiting.

Thank you, Bear, for your kind comments on my last post. I sure do need Cheer Bear to come visit me for a bit. LOL. My son will eventually act like nothing at all happened and I'll be expected to just "forget" about it.....which I've done so many times. This time its not going to be so easy....although I won't hold a grudge...they only make you ugly. Have a happy day!

I Care...I remember these but my kids were too big for them when they came out.
Great choice for the letter C.

Wow! did you bring back the memories for me, with a smile. My daughters both had their share. Erica, who was born in 1981,& her favorite was Funshine & just recently she gave a new Wish Bear to her big sister Audrey (whose first was Cheer Bear) when she was in the hospital. So the tradition continues.
Thanks for sharing!!
Happy Wednesday.

I bought several Care Bears books and kept them for my grandchildren to read when they're old enough. Noah even has his own Care Bear now!

Care Bears are very special to me because in the 80's my husband and I raised Manx cats. Our cattery name was BearsDen and I bought Care Bears to sit on top of the various cages and used Care Bear material for pillows and curtains for the cages.
It was a lot of fun reading about these very wonderful bears. I had really forgotten a lot of the symbolism.

I had a Care Bear as a child - I think it was Tender Heart Bear, if I recall correctly. :)

Thanks for your visit and your kind comment.
In France, "care bears" were very popular too, and they were called "Bisounours ", that is to say:
Bisou(s) (= Kiss(es) )+ nounours =Teddy bear
My daughter, who was born in 1979-had a yellow one,(Funshine, according to your informations, but I don't remind the french translation )
