ABC Wednesday-G

Isn't it Great to see how GRAND
FATHER shows us that he has never really Grown up because he enjoys playing on the see-saw with his three Grandsons, Grant, Graham and Gregory.

*
GRANDFATHERS are special people who can teach lifes lessons to their Grandsons through the wisdom and experience they have Gained over the years.
*
*
Demonstrating how to fish, building a bird house and learning reading, writing and arithmetic are what GRANDFATHERS teach their Grandchildren.
*
But the Games that GRANDFATHERS play with their Grandsons are the best memories that any young boy could ever have or need when Growing up.
*
As George Bernard Shaw said, "We don't stop playing because we Grow old; we Grow old because we stop playing."
*
Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter.
Mark Twain
*
To be seventy years young is sometimes far more cheerful and hopeful than to be forty years old.
Oliver Wendell Holmes
*
Always remember: Growing older is mandatory; Growing up is optional.

Love Mark Twain's saying. I definitely agree with it, if you don't mind it doesn't matter.
Terrific G post. Wish I had known my Grandparents better. They lived in MN. and we lived in CA. They really had little influence on my life.

A wonderful post. My grandfather was quite a serious man, my nana however wasn't. Memories are a wonderful treasure.
Thanks so much.

Hi there!

Sorry, I haven't commented before. I did pop over & read your F is for friendship post - it was very true. TY for your support.

I never knew either of my Grandfathers.
And, I've certainly grown older but not UP!

Blue

Evidently, the moral of this is -- one grandfather bear weighs way more than three little bears...

Goodness gracious this was great.

I'd agree with those sentiments!

I am so looking forward to being a grandma ... but no sign yet.

That was fun!

Being a grandma is the best (unless you talk to my husband who thinks being a grandpa is best!)

Never thought of Grandfather and here I am, newly endowed, as it were.
I am not premitted by my son to show my grandchild on line, so I never thought of it.

being a single man of 71years, I can attent to the fact one doesn't have to be just a grandfather to enjoy the positiveness of small children, I have many years of fond memories assisting my nieces and nephews in growing into the adults they are today---teaching my Grand Niece how to play chess is just one of them.

I just loved this post with the many quotes about aging that I will keep close to me. Ah, grandfathers. My daughters didn't get to know theirs for long and that seems unfair but isn't that life? Always a pleasure to visit you.
Happy ABC Wed.!

Couldn't agree more with Mark Twain! Agin is on our minds more than in our bodies... Oh I'm very luck to have great memories about my grandparents, from my mom' side - I didn't have the chance of meeting my dad's sides'. They were lovely to me and I hope they're havingfun in the other world now.

Sweet post! Thank you for your lovely words on my G post! :o)

Kisses from Nydia.
